Privacy Policy for Extra Pair

1. Overview

Extra Pair (“the App”) is developed by Giovanni Rufino (“the Developer”) to help parents and caregivers keep spare clothing and food stocked at school, daycare, or therapy centers.

We believe your family's daily routines and data should remain completely private. The Developer does not operate any backend servers, does not maintain a user database, and does not collect or monetize your personal information in any way.

2. Information You Provide and Where It Lives

To provide supply tracking functionality, Extra Pair stores the following information entered by you:

• Child and Location Information: Your child's first name, the name of the care location (such as “Daycare”), and attendance days.
• Supply Inventory: Supply categories (shirts, pants, socks, snacks), target par levels, warning thresholds, and tracking modes.
• Activity Logs: Entries recording drop-offs, items brought home in a bag, borrowed item returns, count adjustments, timestamps, and optional caregiver display names.
• Device Preferences: Per-device settings such as your display name, daily reminder time, and notification preferences.

Storage Architecture

All data is stored exclusively in two places:

1. On your local device: Stored in an on-device local database cache.
2. In your private Apple iCloud account: Synced securely via Apple's CloudKit framework (NSPersistentCloudKitContainer).

All network data transfer occurs strictly between your device and Apple's CloudKit servers under your personal Apple Account. The Developer cannot view, access, decrypt, or share any of this information.

3. Sharing with Another Parent or Caregiver

Extra Pair allows you to share a household with another parent or caregiver so both individuals can view supplies and log entries from separate iPhones.

• Sharing is powered by Apple CloudKit Sharing (CKShare).
• Invitations and participant management are handled directly through Apple's native system sharing sheet (via Messages, Mail, etc.).
• The shared data resides in the iCloud account of the parent who initiated the share (“the Owner”).
• The Owner can view participants and stop sharing at any time.
• When sharing ends, access to the shared household is immediately revoked for invited participants.
• The Developer cannot see who is invited, does not receive participant contact information, and cannot view shared data.

4. Notifications

Extra Pair includes optional alerts for low supplies and daily restock reminders.

• All notifications are local notifications scheduled directly on your device through iOS (UserNotifications).
• The App does not use external push notification servers or APNs push tokens.
• Notification preferences and schedules remain solely on your device.

5. No Analytics, Tracking, or Advertising

• Zero SDKs: Extra Pair contains no third-party software development kits, trackers, or ad network libraries.
• Zero Analytics: We do not track page views, button clicks, user sessions, or behavioral metrics.
• No Cross-App Tracking: Extra Pair does not request or track Apple's Advertising Identifier (IDFA).

6. Children's Privacy

Extra Pair is an organization tool for parents, guardians, and adult caregivers. It is not intended for or directed toward children under 13 years of age (or under the applicable age of digital consent). Children cannot create accounts or interact with the App. Any child first names entered by parents remain within the parent's private iCloud container and are never received or processed by the Developer.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Because all data belongs to you and resides solely on your device and in your personal iCloud account, you retain total control over its retention and deletion:

• To delete local data: Delete the Extra Pair app from your device. All locally stored data will be erased immediately.
• To permanently delete iCloud data:
  1. Open the iOS Settings app.
  2. Tap your [Name / Apple Account] at the top.
  3. Tap iCloud.
  4. Tap Saved to iCloud (or Manage Storage / Manage Account Storage).
  5. Select Extra Pair from the list.
  6. Tap Delete Data from iCloud (or Delete Documents & Data).

8. Changes to This Policy

Any revisions to this Privacy Policy will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
